14th Amendment Question Is it possible for corporations in a capitalist society to be responsible citizens?

The courts have ruled over and again that corporations are people. The Fourteenth Amendment originally had to do with the rights of freed slaves, but later was applied to corporate rights as well. Many of these cases arose in the 19th century. Corporations have many of the same rights as individual citizens. Is it possible for a company to be a responsible person in a capitalist society? If the line and its accountability to shareholders is their number one target, can a corporation still make responsible decisions for the good of society in general? Or search the end of a for-profit corporation would affect their decision making when about being a responsible citizen? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_personhood

I agree with Johannes. corporations will never be responsible citizens the only time they are responsible is when the union is up your ass.
