Do you support the truckers in striking over the soaring fuel costs?
I do. I know it is going to be a hardship in the short term for all of us, but in the long term it may just get the greedy oil companies to lower fuel. If you think you have trouble, think of the independant truck owner at 6 miles a gallon times over 4 bucks a gallon trying to make a living after paying for there truck, bringing food to your local grocery stores. The government is giving the oil companies 18 BILLION, Yes BILLION in tax breaks a year, while they are at a all time high for profits and claim they need it for exploration. Who in there right mind is going to believe that the oil companies and the Bush administration are not lining there pockets laughing there butts off at us. We can in solidarity get there attention.
You are correct about the oil companies and the Bush administration. They’ve been laughing all the way to the bank for the last seven years.
Will the strike make a major impact? Probably not; but I am supportive of their endeavor to send a message.
