Google Adsense Earnings Trends
January has to be the worst month for any business, except weight loss. Building a business Google Adsense is no exception to this rule. I was shocked when my Adsense earnings went from a few dollars per day to just pennies per day in the first couple of weeks in January. I was very worried about it until I started thinking about the logic behind it:
Adsense and Adwords revenue is generated from companies to advertise their products through Google and click on those ads consumers.
From the perspective of advertising a business, most of its sales are made in November and December. These are the months that make or break your profits for the year, and those are the months that most of their advertising budget is spent. January is one of the worst months of the year for sales, which logically would result in companies spending much less on advertising.
Google applies for and displays ads based on the highest paying and highest quality ads given the best exposure. With the month of January that companies spend far less money on advertising, lower quality and lower paying ads are shown. paycheck pretty much guaranteed lowest for those who earn money from Adsense on their websites.
From the point of view of the consumer, enticing them to click on an AdSense ad is the product of the notice to be something they are looking for, and commercial high quality, what them attractive to take a closer look.
The problem with the month of January is that consumers as a whole, are not in a buying mood. The most of their money was spent in November and December, leaving them with empty pockets in the month of January. With this in mind, even the high quality and attractive non-announcements are more likely to click on, as the products are not something that consumers are looking at that time. This, combined with less competition among advertisers to lower quality ads, results in a click through much lower interest rate on the ads on Google Adsense websites.
I was happy to see my Adsense earnings back to the normal levels in mid-January. At the end of the month, which just surpassed one hundred dollars, guaranteeing me a check in January.
