how lucrative is the non-profit health care investment banking industry?
I dont think there is such a thing as a specific non-profit health care investment banking career. There is health care investment banking though, which is just a lucrative as other investment banking sectors, and probably covers non-profit health care. Boutiques focus more on sectors like technology, health care, financial, and information systems; I am not sure how it works at the bulge brackets (goldman sachs).
If you have come across a non-profit health care investment banking offer, keep in mind that any experience is good and 10 years out you will be rich no matter what (if you last). Non-profit almost always pays less, but people rarely stay at the bank they start out so dont worry about it—get the experience if you can.
Experience gets your foot in the door and opens up other opportunities.
Again, there is a sector of investment banking that focuses on health care things like mergers and valuations and such so if you are interested in that, focus on that.
