Taking sides – Healthcare, Education, and Economics

I believe that with strong leadership, hard work and dedication to problem solving, We can improve the lives of our society and create a new vision for Northern Virginia.

The economy

There is a huge need to improve the climate economic development within our communities throughout northern Virginia. Thousands of families across Nova is struggling to pay the costs associated with life, including child care. To help families in NOVA that President Obama's support expansion strategy of the child and dependent care tax credit to help provide relief for parents and caregivers. Currently only 35 percent of the first $ 3,000 of care expenses incurred by a family with a son and a family with two or more children the first $ 6,000. The credit is not refundable, so families with higher incomes benefit unduly while families earning less than $ 50,000 obtain a year less than a third of the tax credit. I advocate the reform of the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit to ensure that low-income families to receive more credit for his debut in the care of children.

Furthermore, it is imperative that we create training programs for clean technologies.

I advocate for additional funding to expand federal job training programs to include green technologies training, such as advanced manufacturing air conditioning and training. This type of job training program will help fuel our economy and create sustainable jobs green.

I support the President Obama's plan to help expand lending to small businesses through tax cuts and aid to community banks. The program is designed to have 30 billion U.S. dollars in cash back in the problems Asset Relief Program (TARP) available to help small banks lend to local businesses. Small businesses are the fabric of our economy, it is imperative that we provide financial support for job creation, promote entrepreneurship and innovation.

Health Care

The health system in this country is broken and I will fight to fix the system. The United States pays more than any other industrialized country, however, no national coverage for all Americans. At the same time, health care is closely linked our future fiscal health. Therefore, in order to reduce costs and improve quality for all Americans, three principles must be met in any legislation that passes Congress: (1) national coverage, (2) end violations of insurance companies, (3) provide options and competition in the market.

For follow these principles healthcare reform must contain several different provisions. First, we must find a plan to increase the number of Americans health. If done properly, it would extend the insurance group, are more Americans and reduce the costs of premiums. Second, Americans should be protected from the worst abuses of insurance companies, ending its practice of denying coverage because of pre-existing conditions, grading of total coverage and dropping or reducing coverage when people get sick and need it the most. Moreover, the reform should mandate the amount of the premium of a patient must go to their care, as opposed to marketing, profits and salaries for insurance companies.

To provide choice and competition reform market should include a national exchange, through which individuals and small businesses can come together to expand the pool of insurance for cheaper insurance. Included within this exchange should be a national option. One option would be national non-profit and have the ability to provide comprehensive care at the best prices. Includes an American option in exchange to keep the costs of increased private insurers and keep them honest.

To maintain our affordable health insurance system needs to change to preventive care. For example, if more mobile clinics were placed in the impoverished rural community of potential medical problems could be identified early and treated. This would help combat the high volume of patients visiting hospitals and reduce costs. In addition, we offer loans small business tax to help health care become economic. To combat the high volume of patients to clinics to be provided more mobile in impoverished communities. tax credits should also be made available to individuals and families who make below the poverty level. Finally, waste, fraud and abuse in the Medicare system should be rooted out to maintain long-term stability of our system of Medicare for the elderly.

The implementation of these reforms must be done to meet the challenges of our nation. The health care costs are driving more Americans into bankruptcy and making our businesses less competitive with foreign competitors. These reforms would reduce our deficit and begin to put our fiscal house in order. I will be strong believer in the health system reform.

Education

Our education system has many problems and the need for solutions to combat challenges Americans face daily. Our children are falling behind compared to other developing nations. To provide our children a bright future that America should be at the forefront of innovation. First, we support children with special needs and invest in early childhood education, since the period before a child enters kindergarten is the most critical to their educational development. To achieve this goal, we must dramatically increase finance preparation programs Head Start and other parents that have proven effective in getting our children for their education. The funds should be allocated properly to ensure that classrooms are managed efficiently and effectively.

Second, we must improve our K-12 education. I have spoken to many Parents across Northern Virginia and hear their concerns about the increasing dropout rate and if American students are preparing to compete with the world. To achieve this, funding must be provided in order to bring technology and textbooks until the day in the classroom. Furthermore, we rebuild crumbling schools and reward teachers based on merit, and offering incentives to attract quality teachers. I support the presidential race and the TOP program advocate for reforming the No Child Left Behind support to schools that need improvement. Also, I think our school days and hours should be extended, so that our children are receiving not only quality education but higher education throughout the year as our global competitors.

Thirdly, should expand access to higher education. Secondary Education that gave our parents and grandparents of a career is not enough in the fast developing world of today. Today day to buy a house, raise a family and retire comfortably, a college education is a necessity. Unfortunately, college and training has become another step unaffordable for many Americans is why I support expanding Pell grants and tax credits to families to help pay for education.

The expansion of these programs will be expensive, but worth the investment. I think the government has a responsibility to invest in its future leaders inventors and communities. We can not compete globally unless we develop better products and technologies. Failure is not an option that should improve our system education, as a member of Congress will push me to concentrate our nation's efforts to strengthen our intellectual capital.

I think that with the values correct, dedication, leadership and communication a new vision for Northern Virginia is possible. Let's make it happen.
