Now for the kicker: Is America a democracy?
We are spending billions of dollars trying to build a democracy in Iraq so that the Iraqi people can have a voice in their government. Meanwhile, not a single PERSON IN YAHOO ANSWERS supports the idea of oil companies making profits without unprecedented since gas is $ 3.00/gallon. Who runs this country anyway? Apparently not us. I want to know what happens with this?! Help me understand please. Have we been hijacked by the politicians we elect? White House is being held at gunpoint by a terrorist organization? Any ideas at all? Mr President, have you forgotten that you chose?
The United States is a representative republic, not a democracy. Pure democracy is the law of the mafia. O, however, allows a business to succeed. Do not like the price of gasoline? Do not buy it. When enough people do not buy, the price will fall. Until then, their comments on the benefits of oil companies are in the best of jealousy and at worst illegal. Any benefits they do is legal.
