How insurance companies maximize profits at the expense of good health care?
Deny, deny, deny. Haran anything and everything to try to maximize profits at any cost. They are always looking for ways to change the expensive benefits, change the language of its policy to give gaps to make expensive denials when requests come in, and formulate ways of doing almost anything on a preexisting condition. I know we all like to believe they really do not do this, but the bottom line is that they are a business. Most people enter the business of making money and health insurance companies are no different. Remember Me Peen heard of Linda? He was a former managed care director who was seized with guilt as the way she plays with people's lives as a medical director who made a teary-eyed confession to Congress on the evils of managed care.
