2007 Prius: Invoice Price vs. Dealer’s True Cost?
I am preparing to go in and negotiate for a 2007 Toyota Prius. I want to know what the invoice price is, as I have has multiple dealers tell me that they would make a deal based on invoice + profit. But how can I tell what a dealer truly paid? If they say the invoice is $22,040, does that reflect the baseline for negotiation, or can I try to start at $21,000 or so???
