Wal-mart Profits 2009

wal-mart profits 2009
Is it in the best interests of Wal Mart for it’s workers to die (by taking out “Dead Peasant” policies)?

Wal Mart takes out life insurance policies on it’s low end workers, often in excess of $100,000. Now, it doesn’t take $100,000 to train an elderly person to be a greeter.

Is it right for Wal Mart to profit on dead employees? Also, isn’t it disgusting that the policies are called, “Dead Peasant” insurance?

I’m lucky enough to have the choice not to shop there.

Poor rural people, however, have very limited options.

sounds like an effective business model if you ask me. Making money even when you are 6 feet under.
